Team Ewan Guild's pie party and auction have passed, but we have an ongoing event this fall:
Pie match: Donors giving $50+ are matched with local bakers who will make them a thank-you pie for pickup on one of our remaining pickup dates (Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28, Nov. 11, Nov. 21).
The pie party sold out and was a big success. Thanks to all who attended and helped make it possible!
Ewan Lill was a kind, thoughtful Mercer Island boy who was diagnosed with an aggressive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 2016, at age 6. Despite state-of-the-art treatment, Ewan died in 2018 at the age of 8. Sept. 22 of this year would have been Ewan's 14th birthday. For more of Ewan's story, visit Team Ewan.
Since 2018, the Team Ewan Guild has raised approximately $70,000 for research into and treatment of high risk pediatric leukemia at Seattle Children's Hospital.
This project is based on the Pies Against Cancer fundraiser run by Christopher Stephens of New York City for nearly a decade prior to 2020. Concept and name used with permission. Q: Did Ewan like pie?
Yes! Click on the page links to learn more about a) how to get matched as either a donor or baker and b) the Sept. 23 pie party.
